This article on white privilege was one of the first written by a white person, and it was groundbreaking at the time (1988-ish).   I'm assigning it to you for reading so that we can discuss it next session (it's only a few pages so it shouldn't be too much).  The issue of white privilege is a topic that many people tend to gloss over because it's uncomfortable- and this article does a great job examining that (Peggy McIntoch, the author, is/was the director of feminist/women's studies at her university, so she comes at the issue comparing it to male privileged).
