INTRO - Exam Prep

When using this study guide- If it says something like "know all parts" or "etc" that means that if there are 5 slides regarding that topic- know them.  Don't just know really basic parts of these concepts- study them in depth.

HD:
teratogens
maternal nutrition
Piaget- all stages and milestones- don't forget schemas
Erikson-early stages and overall idea
Attachment, stranger/separation anxiety, Types
self awareness, self esteem, self concept
Vygotsky
Kohlberg

Learning:
Classical Conditioning- all parts: UCS, UCR etc, Generalization ETC.

Operant conditioning- all parts and schedules of reinforcement
learned helplessness
Social Learning- All parts of the theory

Memory:

stages of memory- all 3 parts in the slides
primacy/recency

Know these well:
Sensory memory- sensory encoding etc,
STM- capacity rehearsals etc,
LTM- all types of this

recognition and recall

Intelligence:
Binet
aptitude vs achievement
Intelligence quotient
reliability vs validity

The 5 paragraph composition is due on thursday as well- I will NOT take them late.  So if you blow it off- don't expect a good exam grade.

The comp is on attachment- there is info in the slides and we went over it in class- if you do not have those class notes get them from someone, if you don't, then you will not be able to do this essay well.
